These Terms are written for the current site, which includes both archived legacy records and new SMF Archive community features.
SMF Archive exists to preserve and organize community-made Super Mario Flash content that might otherwise become difficult to find, credit, study, or play.
The site includes historical records imported from sources such as Pouetpu-games and Level Palace, along with levels and comments submitted directly to SMF Archive.
The archive is not affiliated with Nintendo, Pouetpu-games, Level Palace, Softendo, Level Share Square, or any original creators unless clearly stated.
You may need an account to upload levels, comment, rate, follow profiles, receive notifications, manage private level invites, or use other community features.
You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for activity that happens through your account. Do not share your password, impersonate another person, evade restrictions, or create accounts for abuse.
Users must be at least 13 years old to use account features. Because SMF Archive preserves legacy community levels and profiles that may contain inappropriate or foul language, and because members can choose to view uncensored text, accounts are not available to users under 13 even with parental permission or supervision.
You are responsible for levels, comments, replies, ratings, profile text, thumbnails, visual filter settings, reports, and other material you submit to SMF Archive.
Do not submit content that is illegal, malicious, harassing, intentionally disruptive, spammy, sexually explicit, excessively graphic, designed to expose private information, or unrelated to supported Super Mario Flash content.
By submitting content, you allow SMF Archive to host, display, preserve, moderate, and format that content as needed to operate the site and maintain archive context.
Legacy records may include imported level codes, titles, author names, profile details, comments, ratings, dates, thumbnails, source labels, and other metadata from older community sources.
Some legacy information may be incomplete, inferred, duplicated, mismatched, or based on archived copies that were not perfect. SMF Archive may correct records when reliable evidence supports the change.
When suggesting changes to legacy records, provide a clear reason and source information when possible. Do not use correction tools to rewrite history, claim work that is not yours, remove valid attribution, or add unsupported details.
New SMF Archive levels may be public, private, private link, private invite, or deleted. Private settings control normal site access, but you should not treat any online upload as a place for sensitive personal information.
Ratings, comments, featuring, and other public interaction features may be limited to public levels. The site may also restrict interactions for banned, suspended, or otherwise limited accounts.
Archived legacy levels are preserved as historical records. Some archive actions may be available only to contributors, moderators, admins, or founders.
We may remove, hide, restore, lock, censor, edit, or restrict content when needed for safety, archive integrity, legal compliance, or rule enforcement.
We may suspend, ban, limit, or remove accounts that abuse the site, evade moderation, harass users, manipulate ratings, spam, submit malicious content, or repeatedly violate the rules.
Staff tools and decisions are intended to preserve useful community history while keeping the current site usable and safe.
SMF Archive is a fan-made project. All game content, characters, trademarks, and intellectual property belong to their respective owners.
Do not upload content that you do not have permission to share. If you believe content on SMF Archive infringes your rights, please review our DMCA / Copyright page.
SMF Archive may change, add, remove, reorganize, or temporarily disable features at any time. The archive may also experience downtime, data corrections, import changes, or maintenance interruptions.
We try to preserve content carefully, but we cannot guarantee that every feature, record, file, thumbnail, external link, or piece of historical metadata will remain available forever.
