About Us

SMF Archive is a fan-made preservation project for Super Mario Flash games, levels, and community history.

This site exists to keep older creations playable, searchable, and properly credited as original communities, browsers, and file hosts become harder to access. It also gives players a place to share new levels while keeping preservation at the center.

Who Helps With the Site

SMF Archive is maintained by staff members who guide the site and contributors who help preserve, review, and improve archive records. Come check us out!

What We Archive

We preserve levels, game entries, creator names, dates, descriptions, comments, ratings, thumbnails, profile records, and source context when that information is available.

Archived records include material from community sources such as Pouetpu-games and Level Palace, along with new uploads submitted directly to SMF Archive.

Some older records are incomplete or uncertain. When possible, we keep original source labels and notes visible so visitors can tell the difference between preserved history and current site activity.

Why Preservation Matters

Super Mario Flash inspired years of level design, experimentation, contests, tutorials, and community discussion. The archive keeps that creative history from fading into scattered files, broken links, or memories alone.

Whether someone is revisiting an old favorite, studying level design, checking credit, or discovering the community for the first time, SMF Archive is meant to make the work easier to find and understand.

Community Help

The archive improves when people report broken records, identify missing authors, submit reliable source information, upload compatible levels, and share feedback about what is confusing or incomplete.

If you notice incorrect credit, duplicate records, missing metadata, broken thumbnails, or a privacy concern, please reach out through our Contact page.

For active development around modern successors to Super Mario Flash, visit Level Share Square and Super Mario Construct.
